Welcome to Marrick Parish Council

Marrick is a rural parish in Swaledale in the Richmondshire District of North Yorkshire. Situated partly in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and in an area of high landscape value, it covers an area of over 6,200 acres, but with a resident population of less than 150.

Now predominantly agricultural, and moorland managed for grouse-shooting, it was once a thriving lead-mining area and the remains of its important industrial past can still be seen. The Coast-to-Coast long distance footpath passes through Marrick and there are numerous pleasant walks in the locality.
